Lost on a desolate country road, a middle-aged married couple, Paolo and Emilia, are in a heated argument when they run their car into a man who seemingly runs into the road out of nowhere. The stranger has no identification, only a briefcase lying close to his body. In a panic and with no cell phone reception, the couple decide not to move the body but go to the nearest cottage to find help, only to stumble on to a kidnapping, becoming hostages themselves.
